John Michael Howell OBE is a British politician and the Conservative Member of Parliament for Henley, having won the seat with an increased share of the vote in a by-election.

Howell was a partner in Ernst & Young responsible for opening Eastern Europe after the fall of communism. He has also been a presenter for BBC World and a councillor for Warborough. In 2000, he was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
