Edgar O'Ballance

Colonel Edgar O'Ballance born 1920 is a British military journalist, and researcher. He served in the British and Indian armies until 1948. He worked as a journalist for a US Wire Agency from 1948 to 1962, and since has been a freelance journalist. He has covered over twenty wars and insurgencies and written extensively on international relations, defence and strategic problems. A member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and is a former Chairman of the London-based Military Commentators' Circle, he has written many articles for military journals and is the author of over twenty books.
