The Charleroi-Monessen Bridge was a historic bridge that spanned the Monongahela River between Washington County, Pennsylvania and Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The structure connected Route 88 on the west bank of the river and Route 906 on the east side. As of 2009, the bridge was closed due to its structural deficiency. The closest open crossings are the I-70 (Belle Vernon Bridge) to the south (upstream), and the Route 1022 (C. Vance DeiCas Memorial Bridge) to the north (downstream), a several-mile detour exists either way. The bridge was imploded shortly before 9:00 AM on Monday, July 11, 2011. A new bridge is set to be constructed in its place and is scheduled for completion in March 2013. According to PennDOT, it could be open to traffic as early as November 2012.

It was designated as a historic bridge by the Washington County History & Landmarks Foundation.[2]
