Drora Bruck (born December 31, 1966 in Haifa, Israel) is an Israeli recorder player.[1]

Musical education

Drora is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where she has been studying with Michael Meltzer, for her BMus which was obtained in 1990.

After graduated in Jerusalem, Drora Bruck went on to study in the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan, with the recorders master Pedro Memelsdorff after having earned a special scholarship by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Current position

Today Drora is teaching in the Faculty of the Performing Arts in the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and in addition is the director of the Early Music department of the Shtriker Israeli Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv, that she formed in September 2005.

Career

Drora has been performing in recitals and as a soloist since 1983 all over the world. She played with various ensembles and performers, such as The Israeli Baroque Ensemble, Ensemble Kaprizma, Aviv String Quartet and others. In addition she has performed in many festivals in Europe and Israel, and played in concerts also in North America and Australia.

Plays and records pieces that were written specifically for her by many Israeli composers; Over 54 premiers in the past 10 years.
