Beloretsk

Beloretsk ( _ru. Белоре́цк) is a town in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, situated on the Belaya River. Population: 71,093 (2002 Census). Geographical coordinates: coord|53|58|N|58|24|E|.

History

Beloretsk was founded in 1762 as a settlemet around the newly constructed "Beloretsk iron works" on the Belaya River. Town status was granted in 1923.
