Andhra Pradesh ,India .EAMCET Examination
About
The EAMCET test is taken by a large number of
Engineering andMedical aspirants in the state. Presently theJNTU located in Hyderabad conducts the examination. This is the entrance exam forEngineering andMedicine . In the year 2007 around 1.85 lakh (185,000) students gave a shot in the Engineering Stream and around 0.9 Lakh (90,000)students in the Medical & Agricultural Stream. The results are declared in a record time of 13 or 14 days every year making the counselling and admission process very smooth.EAMCET-2008 was held on the 8th of May 2008 conducted byJNTU on behalf ofAPSCHE .The format of the test had to be changed many times to make the test fair for all students. An expert committee constituted by the Educational Department of the state government decides how the test is conducted.
Of late, several institutions that train aspirants for the exam have mushroomed all over the state. The exorbitant fees charged by these institutions has raised concerns about education being unaffordable for many students.
