Mount Shimbiris is the highest peak in Somalia. It sits at an altitude of 2450 meters above sea level. It is located in the Surud Mountain Range in northern Somalia, in the Maakhir region. SRTM data shows that its often quoted elevation of 2,416 m is slightly low.
