African Muslim Agency

African Muslim Agency

The African Muslim Agency is a primarily Kuwait-sponsored aid and Dawah organization based in Luanda, Angola. The agency, however, has established itself in much of Africa, including Sierra Leone, Mali, Mozambique, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Angola, the Gambia and particularly South Africa. It is allegedly linked to Al-Itihaad al-Islamiya, which in turn is allegedly linked to Al-Qaeda. Current Guantanamo Bay detainee, Algerian Mammar Ameur was accused of working for the AMA, which in turn implied a link to Al-Qaeda.
