Yang Shen

Yang Shen

Yang Shen (楊慎; 1488 – 1559), son of Yang Tinghe, "zi" Yòngxiū (用修), "hao" Shēng'ān (升庵), also "hao" Bonanshanren (博南山人), Bonanshushi (博南戍史), was a poet in Ming Dynasty. He lived in Chengdu in the Sichuan province of China.

As a result of the Great rites controversy of 1524, he was exiled to Yunnan.
