Tower is a ward of the City of London and is named from its propinquity to the Tower of London [The City of London-a history Borer,M.I.C. : New York,D.McKay Co, 1978 ISBN 0094618801] . Tower ward is found within the boundary formed by the River Thames, Minories, Pepys Street and the Tower itself.
